Ladders and guard rails are are sold separately from our metal bunks, and we make these bunk bed accessories to perfectly fit our beds. Our bunk bed ladders bolt onto your bunk, a design feature that allows one ladder to fit all of our bunks. Not only does the ladder fit the Model 4000 Bunk, the Model 5000 Bunk, and the Platinum and Model 4500 Collections, but it's also available in black or platinum finish so that it matches your bunk. Such versatility is what earned this ladder its name: Adapt-a-Ladder.
Ultimately, the lifespan of your bunk bed depends on how you treat it. Typically, though, our metal bunk beds last anywhere from 10 to 15 years.
Some metal bunk beds may rust, but ours do not. Made from quality metal and finished with a powder coating, our customers don't have to worry about their bunk beds developing rust, scale, pits, scratches, or buckles.
Technically, yes you can paint your metal bunk bed; however, we don't recommend it. Paint on a metal bunk bed is likely to chip, negating all of the benefits of having a high-quality powder coating that originally made your bunk bed's surface durable and dapper.
Not only are all of our metal bunk beds made partially from recycled materials, but they're also 100% recyclable. So, when you're finished with your beds, you can recycle your mattresses along with your bunks. That's something to feel good about!
