The Model 4500 Solid Panel Bunk Bed has many of the same durable qualities as the Model 4500 Bunk Bed. The key feature of this institutional metal bunk bed is the sheet metal sleep surface. Engineered specifically for the unique needs of supportive housing facilities, camps, and other rugged environments, these bunk beds will withstand rigorous use time and again.

Bed End Construction

Sleep Surface Construction

• Side rails are 2” x 1 ½” x 5/32 rail steel angle with a 2” flange
• End angles are 2” x 1 ½” x 5/32 rail steel angle with 1 ½” flange
• Sleep surface converts from 76” length to XL 80” length
• All corners fitted with shoulder rivets to fit double hook locks
• Sleep surface rated for intense use up to 400 lbs.
• 16-gauge cold-rolled sheet metal
• Heavy-duty weld securing flat panel to side rails
• Strategic slots for attaching guard rails and ladders
• Side support system to keep the mattress from sliding

Finish/Paint

• Top quality powder coating
• All surfaces cleaned and phosphatized for optimum paint adhesion
• Paint hardened by baking at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes
